Call to Artists

We would like to invite you to participate in the
3rd Annual Art in Bloom
Sculpture Event
At Kokopelli Gardens in Duvall

The opening Gala will be held on June 27, 2008
Guests will stroll through the music filled gardens viewing the many
mediums of art displayed throughout while enjoying wine and appetizers.
Those artists displaying their work will receive free admission for themselves and a guest
so they can have the opportunity to mingle and promote their work.

Saturday and Sunday the gardens will be open to the general public at no charge.
DFA members will be present at the Gala and both Saturday and Sunday
to assist with the sales of your work.

You are not required to be present during any of the event.
You will need to set up your art by June 25, 2008 and retrieve the pieces that didn’t sell by
July 6, 2008. Remember this is an outdoor event and your work needs to be able to
sustain outdoor weather conditions.

City of Duvall call for Artists

The city of Duvall is pleased to announce two Calls for Artists for public art to be displayed on Main Street in Duvall. The art will be installed in Historic Duvall in late 2008/2009 as part of a redevelopment project of Main Street. The Calls for Artists are only open to artists who live or work in the Snoqualmie Valley from Monroe to North Bend.

The public art includes the installation of 10 sets of hand crafted cedar planks, one on either side of light poles or decorative poles on Main Street from the north city limits to Stephens Street; and art enhanced benches and trash bins.
For the cedar planks, we have a stipend of $4,000 for each selected artist with the city providing the materials. There will also be a $5,000 stipend for the selected bench artist.

The Calls for Artists are attached. Please post them on your web site if appropriate. We are very excited about this project and hope you can help us spread the word about this opportunity to work in Duvall.

Sincerely,
Doreen Booth
